Single Head Double Driving Type Welding Station


It is an exclusive welding station self developed and designed by NAEC based on many years' lean-fabrication concept, and experience in pipe spool fabrication, also combined with on-site condition, whose independent intellectual property rights owned by NAEC.

It is consisted of column & boom type welding machine, chuck type driving mechanism, pressure head type driving mechanism, pipe supporter, rail skid, welding system, electric control system etc., which can form two driving modes, one is chuck type driving mechanism + pipe supporter, the other is pressure head driving mechanism + pipe supporter, which can effectively avoid

Adopt WPS control system, which can preset welding procedure, and avoid welding defect caused by operator randomly adjusting parameter. Adopt Miller multifunction welding power supply to complete butt seam TIG/RMD root pass, GMAW/SAW fill & cap pass welding requirement.

Adopt single welding head + double driving mechanism structure in automatic welding station. When welding one pipe, another pipe can be loaded or grinded at the same time, therefore to reduce the standby time of welding head and maximum welding head utilization rate. The detailed advantage of this combination is as below:

1) It means single welding head is allocated with two drivings, normally, welding head can alternatively work between two drivings, which means welding and loading work can be done at the same time on two drivings separately, so, the welding head arc burning time will be improved.

2) When welding S.S pipe, two drivings can work alternatively to reduce the time waste caused by argon filling, layer cooling, further to improve welding head arc burning time.

3) When welding A.S pipe, it can also reduce the time waste caused by preheating setting and temperature rising, further to improve welding head arc burning time.

This station has the characters of high welding efficiency, good welding quality, convenient operation, also can effectively reduce the labor intensity etc.

One operator is required for this station to realize automatic root pass welding, fill and cap pass welding. The welding head productivity can reach 300DI/shift.
